What
is self storage?
Self storage is a service offering flexible DIY storage for business
and domestic customers. We provide clean, dry, secure storage
rooms, access to which is free of charge seven days a week. You
lock your room with your own padlock ensuring only you have access
to your goods.
What
is the cost of storing with you?
The cost of a storage room depends on the size required. We suggest
that you consult our staff to determine the most suitable size
of your storage room. A price can then be quoted for the correct
size room. We offer lockers from as little as £ 10.00per
month. And storage rooms from £ 10.00 (+ VAT) per week.
Are
there any hidden extras?
No, the price you are quoted includes your storage charge, rates,
service charges, utility bills and maintenance costs. You will
need a padlock to secure your room, and we recommend you to take
out contents insurance which we can provide.
A refundable security deposit equivalent to 4 weeks storage charge
is payable at the outset, and refunded when you vacate your storage
room.
Do
I pay weekly or monthly?
We invoice customers on a 4 weekly (28 days) basis payable in
advance. We ask for 3 weeks notice when you vacate your room,
and after the initial 4 weeks we refund any unused storage charges
that you have paid.
Do
you offer any discounts?
For longer term storers we are able to offer discounts against
prepayments -
4%
off for 24 weeks prepayment
8% off for 52 weeks prepayment.
How
can I pay for my storage?
You can pay by cash, cheque, or standing order.
How
often can I have access to my goods and what is the cost?
We offer unlimited access to your goods seven days a week. Access
is FREE.
Do
I have to book a unit?
No, you can fill in your storage agreement today and move in without
delay. However to be guaranteed a unit of a specific size, it
is advisable to book your unit in advance. A reservation fee of
£20 will book your unit for 3 weeks. The £20 reservation
fee is deducted from your first periods rent.
What
are you openining hours?
Our storage opening hours are Monday - Friday 0800 - 2000hrs.
Saturday + Sunday 0900 - 2000hrs.
If you intend calling in after 1630hrs. it is advisable to phone
to advise us so that we can ensure we are available.
How
do I get my goods to you?
You can bring your goods in your own vehicle. We have easy loading/unloading
access. Alternatively we can recommend local van hire or removal
companies to help with your transportation.
Can
I transfer to a larger or smaller unit?
Yes, you can up or down size as your storage requirements change.
How
high are your storage units?
All our units are 2.75metres (9ft.) high.
What
can I store?
You can store almost anything in our units. The exceptions are
obvious items such as;
Living items such as animals or plants, food or perishable goods
Hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, explosives, and
compressed gases
Unauthorised or illegal goods etc.
Do
you sell boxes and packing supplies?
Yes, we sell 3 sizes of boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and hanging
wardrobe boxes. Other specialist items such as paper or polythene
furniture covers. Specialised cartons such as bike, golf, mirror
and picture boxes can be ordered specially.
Will
you accept deliveries to my unit?
Yes, by prearrangement we can hold a key to your unit and take
delivery of goods for you. We sign for the amount of packages
received but not for the contents. This service is offered free
of charge, subject to frequency.
Do
you have trolleys available?
We have trolleys, hand trucks, and pallet trucks which are availablefree
of charge for customer use. We also have a fork lift truck available
for any heavier goods, which can be operated on your behalf by
one of our trained staff.
